Readings in Linguistics
Summary
You improve your ability to understand Japanese linguistic texts and discuss them in Swedish or English. You study their syntactic, morphological and semantic aspects and discuss the relevance of the texts to linguistics. You read texts in Japanese while practising your language skills. The texts are supplemented by journal articles from international English-language journals which are of a more general scholarly nature.
About
The course is taught in English and Japanese. Swedish may also be used in the teaching, depending on the students’ backgrounds and wishes.
Prerequisites and selection
Entry requirements
The requirement for admission to the course is that the following courses have been completed: JP1510, Japanese, Advanced course (15 credits) and JP1520, Japanese, Independent project for a Bachelor's degree (15 credits), or that the equivalent knowledge has been obtained.
Selection
Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 165 credits.
