About Ann-Charlotte Glasberg Blomqvist

Ann-Charlotte Glasberg Blomqvist is lecturer in art history and theory, with specialization in writing, and teaches on the BFA and MFA programs in Fine Art.

Areas of interest: participatory art ("the social turn"), art and feminism from the late 1960s until today, photo-based art and photography history, artist writing.

Ann-Charlotte previous teaching has included Steneby, Foto, Craft, and several freestanding courses where she has been course responsible teacher.

Previous assignments have included: Member of the Institution board and the Education board at Valand Academy, equality representative, programme leader of the BFA programme in Fine Art, Head of Unit in Fine Art, and member of the Faculty Board.

Journalistic training and a MFA in Art History and Visual Studies at the University of Gothenburg as well as studies in the History of Ideas and Sciences. Has since the late 1990s worked as an art critic, writer, editor, gallery curator, educator, editorial secretary and research assistant. Has worked at Valand Academy - now HDK-Valand - since 2004.
