Abstract

This chapter describes how interactive evolution of synthesis parameter sets can be used as a creative tool in sound design. This approach speeds up the sound design process, and allows simple control of complex sound engines. A commercial implementation for the Nord Modular G2 modular synthesizer series, developed by the author in collaboration with Clavia, is described.
