In his "The structure of Scientific Revolution" Thomas Kuhn makes use of examples from Gestalt psychology to show that people conceive reality in incommensurable ways that cannot be empirically tested. However, his argument is not valid since the relevant Gestalt phenomena, e.g. perceptual grouping, do not lead to incommensurable worldviews.
