I am a textile artist and teacher. In 2019 I started working as senior lecturer in crafts with specialization in Textile Art at HDK-Valand. In my artistic practice I often work with materials that I find in my day to day life, e.g. papers and clothes. The textile materials themselves and their capacity for transformation inspires me. I craft the materials using traditional textile methods. My work touches on questions like identity, transience, consumption and communication.

I have experience from teaching different ages in different learning situations. I am a certified teacher in Visual arts and Sloyd. Teaching in primary school made me acquainted with realize the importance of using proven pedagogical methods.

As a teacher at HDK-Valand, I believe in the collective learning between students and teachers. I strive to create a positive climate where students feel seen and willing to participate, focus on increasing their strengths and finding their inner drive. I want to give the students a sound understanding of textile techniques and material to bring along to their artistic expressions. Finding their way to become the next generation textile artists.
