About Lars Förlin

My research interest is fish ecotoxicology and includes development, validation and application of sensitive and specific biomarkers, mixture toxicity and biological effect monitoring for impact and risk assessment of environmental contaminants. Biological end-points (biomarkers) of particular interest are related to detoxification, oxidative stress, endocrine disruption and reproduction effects. The expert area includes environmental monitoring with the purpose to assess risk and impact of pollutants in the aquatic environment. These activities include especially assessment of impact of diffuse and point sources of pollutants on health status of coastal fish populations but also on other key organisms in the aquatic environment.
