The University of Gothenburg offers a wide range of doctoral courses. To be eligible to the course you must be admitted to doctoral education, either at the University of Gothenburg or another higher education institution within or outside Sweden.
Application
The full range of doctoral courses offered by the University is listed in the web-based course catalogue. There, you can apply for courses across all faculties.
In the catalogue, you can search for courses by filtering by department and faculty. To apply for a course, click the “Apply” button and provide the requested information. Once your application has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation email at the address you provided.

Eligibility
To be eligible for a doctoral course at the University of Gothenburg you must be either admitted to doctoral education at the University of Gothenburg or at another higher education institution within or outside Sweden or have a doctoral degree.
Admission decision
When your application has been processed, you will receive an admission decision by email. If you have been admitted, it is important that you follow the given instructions and accept or decline the offer of admission within the specified time frame.
