On 10 December, the Center for European Research at the University of Gothenburg (CERGU) arranges its annual European Research Day. This year’s seminar explores and develops interdisciplinarity in European studies. The title for the seminar, Interdisciplinarity Revisited: Towards Non-unidisciplinary Research in European Studies, is shared with that of a new anthology that develops the concept of “Non-unidisciplinary research” as a way to understand and conduct research that steps out of disciplinary boundaries. The anthology is produced by CERGU and constitutes the result of a CERGU project exploring the how’s and why’s of interdisciplinary research. Five of the chapter authors will present their contributions to this anthology, followed by a panel discussion. The anthology is about European studies but the broader topic should appeal to anyone working in research environments where different disciplines meet. The seminar is held at The School of Business, Economics, and Law (Handelshögskolan), room B22, between 15.15 and 17.00 (fika from 14.45 outside the room).
