The Pain Research Network Day welcomes all pain researchers working in the fields of acute, cancer-related, or chronic pain, whether in clinical sciences, epidemiology, or basic sciences. The aim is to provide an arena for networking, by showcasing research groups and ongoing research projects. The annual Pain Research Network Day is co-organized by the University of Gothenburg/Sahlgrenska Academy and the Region Västra Götaland, as an in-person event. There is an option to attend online, but online participants will not be able to fully participate in the discussions.
This year the Pain Research Network celebrates its 5th anniversary with an inspiring program!
In the morning, national and international experts present their research about biomarkers in pain and discuss their work with the audience. In the afternoon, we offer lectures on a holistic, societal approach to understanding and managing pain, including a discussion about how to integrate the biomedical, creative, and holistic perspectives into pain treatment and research.
Book your place via the “Regionkalendern.” Registration closes on the 3rd of November. You can choose to participate in-person or online during the registration, and specify any dietary requirements (included for in-person participants). The venue can accommodate up to 50 people. If you join online, you will receive a video link by the end of week 46.
All presentations at The Pain Research Network Day will be in English. If you are more comfortable to ask questions in Swedish, you are welcome to do so.
You can also showcase your own work in a poster exhibition. Register your poster when you book your place the Pain Research Network Day (See below for more information).
We look forward to welcoming you to the Pain Research Network Day 2024!
