The Development of corporate bureaucracy in Sweden from 1970 to 2000
Kort beskrivning
This thesis examines changes and development of late modern capitalism through the business office function and office work. It will examine the general development of the occupational share of the work force in Sweden and a shift in composition between managerial work and clerical support work, as well as the role of changes in the organisation of administrative coordination in business and the role of early management consultancy firms as a manifestation of change of managerial knowledge and techniques. Further it will revisit the perception of proletarisation and professionalisation of office work from the preceding factory office production and study whether this development can be said to have continued in this time period.
