Clinical Genomics Gothenburg

The Clinical Genomics unit in Gothenburg provides new high-throughput techniques, e.g. next-generation sequencing (NGS) for clinical and pre-clinical research, as well as offering bioinformatics and statistics expertise in analysis, data integration and visualization.

Clinical Genomics Gothenburg (CGG) was established in January 2016 as a collaborative effort between the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg and Area 4, Laboratory Medicine at the Sahlgrenska University Hospital and is now part of the Bioinformatics and Data Centre (BDC) at the Sahlgrenska Academy Core Facilities. CGG's mission is to facilitate translational research and help bridge the gap from research to clinical routine. Our sequencing and bioinformatics units are closely associated, providing an end-to-end solution from sample to analysis. Translational research projects are carried out in close collaboration with both researchers and clinicians, locally and nationally.
