- I've always had a strong passion for project leadership, and I believe my career has been a testament to that. In the past, I've taken the lead in steering projects within the education sector, steadfastly holding the belief that knowledge, research, and social awareness are the cornerstones of sustainable development. In essence, I am driven by the desire to persist as a driving force propelling the positive changes that education fosters, says Olga.
Olga started working the 1st of November and has already begun delineating the upcoming activities and developments within the Centre.
- I'm particularly excited about a significant ISS2024 conference that the Centre will be hosting in June 2024. It promises to be a noteworthy addition to the current educational ecosystem, particularly in the field of entrepreneurship. Additionally, I'm enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to the further development of the Master of Science programs: Knowledge-based Entrepreneurship (KBE) and Innovation and Industrial Management (IIM).
Solid education and extensive work experience
Olga has called Sweden home for several years now but is originally from Minsk, Belarus, where her educational journey began. She pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and then ventured to Vilnius for her first Master's degree in International Tourism Management.
- In 2014, I was awarded a scholarship from the Swedish Institute, which allowed me to continue my academic pursuits. Two years later, I graduated with a Master of Science degree from the masters’ program Knowledge-based Entrepreneurship here at Handelshögskolan in Gothenburg, says Olga.
Since graduation, Olga has been living and working in Sweden. Over the years, she has had the privilege of working in both the private and public sectors, and she has also embarked on her own entrepreneurial ventures. She has accumulated more than 15 years of work experience in leadership and management, including strategic business development.
- I'm deeply passionate about entrepreneurship, innovation, femtech, digitalization, and human creativity, admits Olga. - Oh, and I'm also a dedicated admirer of modern visual arts and dabble in painting myself, she adds after a short pause.
