To open the entrance door you hold the Aptus proximity key (coloured plastic tag) to the reader. Make sure the outer doors always close properly behind you. There is no entrance code to enter the building.

The keys and the Keycode tag are property of Welcome Services. Please note that you have to cover the cost if you lose or damage them. Do not separate the keys from the Keycode tag at any time!

Your key opens the door to your apartment, the garbage room/waste station and the bicycle room in the adjacent buildings on the yard side

Cleaning during your stay is not included in the price. On departure you must leave the apartment neat and tidy, ready for the next tenant.

Apartments at Fjärdingsgatan 5, Gustaf Dalénsgatan 6 and Långängen 14 have dishwashers in the kitchen.

Apartments at Gustaf Dalénsgatan 24 have no dishwasher  in the kitchen.

1. Your visitor calls from the entry phone at the main entrance.
2. A signal is heard from the phone that is placed on the wall in the hall in your apartment. At the same time there is also a red light flashing from the right side of the phone.
3. Pick up the receiver and check who is calling.
a. To let the person in, press the button on the receiver.
b. If you don’t want to let the person in, put the receiver back.

Use the knob on the right side of the receiver to adjust the volume in the receiver.
To adjust the volume of the ring signal, use the knob on the right side of phone.

In Sweden it is customary to sort and recycle your garbage and in most garbage rooms there are different bins for at least newspapers, food remains and other refuse. Glass, cardboard, metal, plastic packages and batteries can also be sorted and left at the nearest recycling station. In Kvillebäcken recycling stations can be found at Gullrisgatan 1, Wieselgrensgatan 10 and at Backaplan next to Coop Forum, among other places

Please use the corresponding recycle bin for each type of trash. Text in Swedish on each bin:

Tidningar = Newspaper
Restavfall = Other refuse (in plastic bags, well tied)
Matavfall = Food remains (placed in the brown paper bag; extra bags in the garbage room)

Gustaf Dalénsgatan 24
The garbage room/waste station is located in the adjacent low green building. It’s a brown metal door with the sign “Soprum”.
NOTE! The door from the outside only opens with the proximity key (blue plastic tag). Make sure to bring it when you take out the garbage to avoid locking yourself out.

Långängen 14
The garbage room/waste station is located in the court yard.

There is a broadband modem in your apartment. Please follow the instructions found next to the modem on how to connect.

The equipment is the property of Welcome Services at the University of Gothenburg and shall be left in the apartment at all times.

The mailboxes are located in the entrance hall. For the mail to be delivered, you need to have your name on the letterbox. We will provide you with a name sticker. Put it in plastic pocket on the letterbox with your apartment number on. Check that the name is fully visible when the mailbox is locked.
We suggest you choose the colour red – Ingen reklam, tack (no commercials please) to avoid your mailbox to be filled with commercial flyers.

To receive letters, your address must include your name, street, street number, apartment number, zip code and mailing address.

Larger parcels are not delivered to your address but to designated delivery locations. You will be notified when the parcel has arrived. Please note that it will be stored for a limited period of time.

Remember to forward your mail to your new address when moving out.

If anything is amiss with the apartment, please contact us as soon as possible and we can send someone to do the repairs or replace missing items. 

Simpler maintenance, such as changing light bulbs, cleaning the water trap of the wash basin etc. is the tenants’ responsibility.

The apartment is furnished and equipped for self-catering, which means you manage everything yourself. Detergent, light bulbs, toilet paper and consumables that you use, you replace if needed.
 

We initially provide you with detergent for the washing machine. Note, one spoon is enough for a full machine. NB: Wired brassiere must be washed in wash bag/net.

Make sure to clean the filter after every time you use the tumble dryer.

There's no provision for storage at this location. We kindly request tenants not to bring their own furniture or other large items.
