There is a room in the basement for bicycles.
 

Cleaning during your stay is not included in the price. On departure you must leave the apartment neat and tidy, ready for the next guest. 

For the elevators to work, do not forget to close the grid door before you leave the elevator.

Garbage shoots are located in the staircases. Garbage must be well wrapped in closed plastic bags, handles firmly tied in a knot.

You find recycling containers in the garbage room, located to the right of the entrance door at Skanstorget 9. The door opens with your apartment key.

In Sweden it is customary to sort and recycle your garbage and in most garbage rooms there are different bins for at least newspapers, food remains and other refuse. Glass, cardboard, metal, plastic packages and batteries should be sorted and left at the nearest recycling station.

Recycling stations close to Skanstorget are available at Seminariegatan 20, Vegagatan 19, Södra Viktoriagatan 41 and at Haga Kyrkogatan 6, among other places.

There is a broadband modem in your apartment. Please follow the instructions found next to the modem on how to connect.

The equipment is the property of Welcome Services at the University of Gothenburg and shall be left in the apartment at all times.

There are two entrances to the building, one at each side of the corner.

The entrance code at Skanstorget 9 is provided to you in the welcome letter at your arrival, but you may also use your key.

The keys and the Keycode tag are property of Welcome Services. Please note that you have to cover the cost if you lose or damage them. Do not separate the keys from the Keycode tag at any time!

At your final departure,
Please lock the door and put the complete set of keys back in, through the letterbox slot in the door.

The laundry room is on the top floor of Övre Husargatan 1. It serves the apartments of both staircases. You can cross over from one staircase to the other over the balconies or in the hallway on the first floor.

Use the little lock on the schedule board outside the laundry room to book a time slot. Please move the lock back to the “parking” if you are not going to use the laundry room.

NB: Wired brassiere must be washed in wash bag/net.

For the mail to be delivered, you need to have your name on the letterbox (mail slot in your door). We will provide you with a name sticker. Also for mails to reach you, your address must include your name, street, street number, apartment number, zip code and mailing address. You can also let your mail be sent to your department.

Larger parcels are not delivered to your address but to designated delivery locations. If you are due to receive a package, you will be notified of where you can collect it. Please note that it will be stored for a limited time.

Remember to forward your mail to your new address when moving out.

If anything is amiss with the apartment, please contact us as soon as possible and we can send someone to do the repairs or replace missing items.

Simpler maintenance, such as changing light bulbs, cleaning the water trap of the wash basin etc. is the tenants’ responsibility.

The apartment is furnished and equipped for self-catering, which means you manage everything yourself. Detergent, light bulbs, toilet paper and consumables that you use, you replace if needed.

There's no provision for storage at this location. We kindly request tenants not to bring their own furniture or other large items.

TVs are available only in the larger apartments (2 bedroom apartments).
