Incoming exchange students
Study at our Triple Crown accredited Business School as an exchange student
International Office
The International Office is responsible for your exchange studies. They perform the functions of organising and maintaining international academic relationships with partner universities, establishing formal exchange agreements and ensuring a smooth process for receiving and sending students on exchange programmes.
Most of the courses are electives or specialisation courses at bachelor- and master levels all taught in English. Students wishing to take academic courses taught in Swedish may contact the International Office for more information.
Study Plan
The semester is divided into a four-course period. As an exchange student, you normally do one or two courses during a course period. Unlike other institutions, the exchange student often read the courses one after the other during the semester. Accordingly, they are examined on one course before they start the next. It differs from the study plan where a student does all courses at the same time with a joint exam period at the end of the semester.
IntU
The International Committee (IntU) of the Student Union cooperates with the International Office at the School to welcome and care for all the incoming exchange students at the faculty. The association creates a social platform for exchange students, international and domestics and makes sure that all international students have the best time in Gothenburg and at the School. IntU arranges the welcome program for exchange students at the beginning of the studies and several events throughout the semesters, everything from sports events and city excursions to dinner parties and pub hangouts.
HHGS: The Student Union
HHGS is the student union at the School of Business, Economics and Law. The union monitors the education and works on behalf of the students. Moreover, they are the main organisation of more than 30 associations (including IntU and GSO), all of which organise several events during the year, ranging from inspirational lunch lectures to a full-blown musical. HHGS has three career fairs during the year and owns seven companies that give meaningful work experience to hundreds of students every year.
Student Buddy
At the School of Business, Economics and Law exchange students can participate in a Student Buddy program. For more information, contact the Student Association's international committee.
