QoG Standard, Basic, OECD and Regional datasets:
In order to contact you concerning us using your datasets in our compilation, the QoG Institute has previously collected information about your name, email address and institutional affiliation. We have retrieved this information via academic or professional associations, institutions and organizations, from individual researchers and practitioners, or through publicly available information on the web.
The QoG Institute only uses this information solely for the purpose of consulting or informing you about our usage of your data.

The Expert Survey
In order to contact you with an invitation to participate voluntarily in the Expert Survey, the Quality of Government Institute previously collected information about your name, email address and institutional affiliation. We retrieved this information via academic or professional associations, institutions and organizations, from individual researchers and practitioners, or through publicly available information on the web.
During the Expert Survey, we also collect background information about your gender, age, education, country of birth, country of residence, and employment. We collect this information for scientific purposes, specifically to make estimations about data reliability.
In addition, the survey software collects certain metadata, including your partial IP address, approximate location (latitude and longitude), start date and finish date of the survey, survey duration, and survey language. The metadata is used to evaluate the progress of the survey and to enable improvements for future rounds of the Expert Survey.
All survey responses are anonymized and cannot be traced to you as an individual.
