Expectations

Members of CeMEB are encouraged to: 

• Participate at the CeMEB Assemblies. If you are away for more than two Assemblies in a row, a polite request about your intentions and engagement will be sent.
• Respect the open communication within CeMEB and at the CeMEB Assemblies and workshops, and agree that any information presented at an assembly or workshop, whether in a formal talk, a poster session, or in a discussion, is a private communication from the individual making the contribution and is presented with the restriction that such information is not for public use. Prior to quoting or publishing any such information presented at an Assembly in any publication, written or electronic (including social media), written approval is to be obtained first from the contributing member.
• Actively contribute to the development of a creative and open atmosphere within CeMEB.
• Take initiatives and suggest activities to strengthen the research within CeMEB such as workshops, seminars, courses, collaborative projects.
• Take initiatives to apply for funding of joint activities.
• Promote CeMEB in the scientific community as well as in society as such.
• Acknowledge CeMEB in publications and presentations when appropriate.
• Follow “Good Research Practice” suggested by the Swedish Research Council (VR). 
• Allow us to publish your name and contact details on the CeMEB webpage.
• State the association to CeMEB on your personal homepage and link to CeMEB’s homepage.
• State association to CeMEB when registering relevant publications in publication databases.
• Publications should be sent to the CeMEB coordinator to be listed on the CeMEB webpage.

Each member of CeMEB should acknowledge and agree on these conditions.

Benefits

Members of CeMEB will be able to: 

• Benefit from being part of a creative, dynamic and open research community.
• Develop new ideas and collaborations within CeMEB and the CeMEB network.
• Participate at the Assemblies
• Participate in CeMEB funded activities, such as courses (primarily aimed at PhD students and postdocs) and seminars.
• Use CeMEB information material.
• Use the CeMEB logotype.
• Advertise, promote, and be informed about projects / publications / open recruitment positions through the CeMEB
• Participate in joint research or writing activities when relevant (special topics networks, special issues, reviews, joint publications etc.) 

Application

An applicant can be anyone whose research, activities and/or network will contribute in a positive way to the development of the research within CeMEB.

An applicant will first be invited by the Steering committee to participate at a CeMEB Assembly before applying for membership. After that the applicant will be invited to send in a Letter of Interest with a short description of both expectations on CeMEB and contributions to CeMEB together with a short CV and publication list. 

After accepptance by the CeMEB Steering Committee the applicant will be requested to sign the Agreement.

Minimum requirements

The minimum requirement for maintaining CeMEB membership is to participate at the Assemblies and not miss more than two assemblies in a row. If a member has not participated in two consecutive Assemblies, she/he will be contacted about her/his future intentions for being a member.

Due to the GDPR we also need your agreement to allow us to publish your name and contact details on the CeMEB webpage.
