I am a PhD-student at the department of Education and Special Education. My research interests revolve around equity, competence and agency in relation to Special Needs Education and Inclusive Education in Upper Secondary School. My thesis focuses on how the ’action competent student’ is constructed - in policy as well as concrete school practice and what consequences these constructions have for students in need of special support and additional adjustments. I am conducting a qualitative, ethnographic study using ethico-philosophical perspectives on power, knowledge and justice.
Currently (2023/2024), I serve as secretary for the Doctoral Council at the Faculty of Education.
My supervisors are Mikael Ring and Girma Berhanu.
