Om Svitlana Rak

Svitlana Rak is a Lecturer in Legal Argumentation. She holds a Ph.D. in law from Аcademician Stashis Scientific Research Institute for the Study of Crime Problems of the National Academy of the Law Sciences of Ukraine and an LLM in pedagogical education.

Svitlana’s research interests lie at the crossroads of Legal Argumentation and Criminal Law. She is interested in the field of legal education with a focus on soft skills, especially public speaking skills, and their role in education for future lawyers. She is currently a PI of the research project “Be or not to be emotional during a trial” funded by Vetenskapsrådet.

Svitlana participates in courses for advanced-level students. She helps students build oral pleadings through the lens of public speaking techniques and the line of legal arguments.
