Spectroscopy
About
The aim of the course is to provide a broad introduction to the field of modern spectroscopy with a special emphasis on modern experimental techniques and theoretical background.
You will get acquainted with central concepts and experimental and theoretical methods that are needed for the understanding of modern spectroscopy. The course highlights the importance of symbiosis between experimental and theoretical approaches within the spectroscopy disciplines, presents the central physical concepts within atomic and molecular spectroscopy and microscopy, and gives an overview of their applications.
Prerequisites and selection
Entry requirements
Bachelor's degree in physics or the equivalent. Applicants must prove their knowledge of English: English 6/English B from Swedish Upper Secondary School or the equivalent level of an internationally recognized test, for example TOEFL, IELTS.
Selection
Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 165 credits.
