There are 30 single rooms in Vega, divided on two floors. These rooms are primarily reserved for international master’s students within exchange programs. The rooms are equipped with a shower, a toilet, a refrigerator and some kitchen equipment. All tenants have access to a shared kitchen and living room.

The laundry room, along with its booking board, is located on the first floor, near the entrance at Vegagatan 15.

In the building hallway you will find emergency numbers for building related issues that happen after-hours or on weekends/holidays (and absolutely cannot wait to be resolved.)

Location

Vega guest rooms are situated in Nordostpassagen, between Linnéstaden and Masthugget, offering easy access to key university departments such as Social Work, Political Science, Business, Economics and Law, and Psychology. Public transport connects to Sahlgrenska Academy, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Department of Earth Sciences, and Chalmers University of Technology within ten minutes. A ten-minute bus ride takes you to Gothenburg’s city center.

Linnéstaden boasts a plethora of restaurants offering global cuisines and diverse cafes. Nearby Järntorget is home to more dining options, bars, and pubs, along with boutique shops for vintage finds and second-hand items.

Nature and Culture

Vega is within walking distance of Slottskogen park, featuring a zoo, observatory, and sports facilities. Nearby, the Gothenburg Botanical Garden offers a vast collection of plant species. Järntorget area is known for live music venues, theaters like Folkteatern, and cinemas including Draken and Hagabion.
