Konferens: Human Rights Justifications and the EU

Human rights – for long a central concern of EU law – are typically invoked to condemn state acts or to critique their omissions. In contrast, this conference examines, from a theoretical perspective and with a particular focus on the EU, the intriguing and innovative question of human rights as justifications for legislation and policymaking.
