Consumer Logistics
Kort beskrivning
I projektet verkade forskare från Centrum för konsumtionsforskning och Centre for Retailing tillsammans med forskare från Frankrike och Storbritannien för att studera hur konsumenter transporterar hem sina vardagsinköp från affären. Projektets fokus är det konsumenter som går, cyklar eller åker kollektivt. Hur fraktar konsumenter hem sina inköp? Vilka olika typer av väskor, kassar och vagnar används?
Metod
Forskarna har gjort observationer på offentliga platser för att se hur konsumenter fraktar sina inköp. De har intervjuat familjer och äldre och engagerat dem som medforskare. För att få en bättre förståelse för fenomenet har forskarna också gjort en djupdykning i historien för att se hur frakten av dagliga inköp förändrats över tid.
I projektet har det även ingått att involvera människor som i sitt arbete påverkar stadsutvecklingen. Exempelvis stadsplanerare, ansvariga för köpcentrum och kollektivtrafik. Forskningsprojektet ingick i URBAN-NET inom EU:s 7:e ramprogram och administrerades av forskningsrådet Formas.
