Förskollärarexamen 1977, legitimerad psykolog 1988. Lärare vid Vårdhögskolan i Göteborg 1984 - 1987. Disputerade 1996 inom området språk, kommunikation och talskada. Avhandlingens titel: ”Literacy abilities in nonvocal children with cerebral palsy”.
Forskning
Pågående programstöd ”Kommunikativa funktionshinder och handikapp: individuella och sociala aspekter” (Erland HJ huvudsökande, medsökande tillsammans med Tomas Tjus och Ingvar Lundberg) Financed by a grant from the Swedish Council for Working life and Social Research 2002-0681.
