Pia Desai är doktorand via avdelning för ortopedi, Institutionen för kliniska vetenskaper, Sahlgrenska Akademin. Hon är legitimerad fysioterapeut med en masterexamen inom idrottsfysiologi och medicin. Hennes doktorandprojekt påbörjades 2017 och handlar om skadeförebyggand åtgärder hos motionärer.
