Forskningsintressen
Mitt ena forskningsintresse rör skolutveckling och framför allt förhållandet mellan skolorganisation och elevers resultatutveckling. Inom ramen för detta intresse har jag arbetat tillsammans med Maria Jarl och Ulf Blossing i VR-projektet: Att organisera skolframgång (2012-2016). Mitt andra forskningsintresse handlar om hur skolan, och speciellt den samhällskunskapsundervisning som bedrivs i skolan, påverkar medborgarkompetensen bland unga medborgare. Tidigare har jag i VR-projektet: Hur påverkar reformer av samhällskunskap ungas medborgarkompetens? (2015-2017) arbetat med statsvetare för att undersöka effekter av samhällskunskapsundervisning. Från 2018 jobbar jag tillsammans med Kristoffer Larsson, vid Institutionen för Didaktik och Pedagogisk Profession, GU, i ett forskningsprojekt finansierat av Skolforskningsinstitutet: Hur lära sig att tänka kritiskt i samhällskunskap? (se https://idpp.gu.se/forskning/forskningsprojekt/kritiskt-tankande-i-samh…). Vidare jobbar jag tillsammans med Henrik Friberg-Fernros, Statsvetenskapliga institutionen, GU, med ett IFAU-finansierat projekt för att undersöka hur skollagens krav på vetenskaplig grund uppfattas i relation till undervisning av värden. Jag har en bakgrund som gymnasielärare i samhällskunskap.
