Jag arbetar som forskare på Tjärnö Marine Laboratory och jag är expert inom områdena molekylär- och utveckningsbiologi.
Tjärnö
Just nu jobbar jag på Tjärnö. Här jobbar jag som molekylärbiolog inom evolution området och min forskning handlar om att förstå vilka biologiska mekanismer som leder till ökad biologisk mångfald och till nya arter. I vår grupp använder vi marina organismer som studieobjekt, främst strandsnäckor men också bl.a. tång och sjöpungar.
Kristineberg
Förut har jag jobbat på Kristineberg. Främst intresserade jag mig för hur stamceller fungerar och de molekylära grunderna för regeneration och tillväxt av olika typer av celler. Har valde vi manteldjur och tagghudingar som modellsystem för regeneration. De är särskilt lämpliga eftersom de uppvisar en stor förmåga till att bygga om kroppen och eftersom de har omfattande regenerationsförmåga efter stora skador.
