About David Jersenius
PhD student in private law since 2022.
My PhD project is in the field of maritime law and deals with the possibilities of private law mechanisms being used to further more sustainable shipping practices. Particular focus will be on ships at anchor and the possibilities of optimizing port calls and thereby reduce environmental impacts.
As part of my PhD-student employment I also teach at the department of law. I have previously worked as a lecturer of law at University West. In addition to teaching I also held a number of different positions such as, Assistant Head of Division, Program Director, Chair of Program Council and member of Department Board. Before entering academia I worked in private insurance as a corporate claims manager, head of corporate claims and insurance law specialist.
