Stordalen - spruce forest

The Skogaryd Research Catchment sub site Stordalen was planted after clearcut in 2011. Measurements of GHG fluxes started in 2012 by a group from the Department of Physical Geography and Ecosystem Science, University of Lund, with support from Skogaryd Research Catchment in the form of infrastructure and the manpower needed to keep measurements running all year around.

Eco system

Young Norway spruce forest, planted after clearcut in 2011. Sil at the site is Podzol.

Measurements

Net fluxes of energy and carbon dioxide using the eddy covariance technique; solar radiation and meteorological variables; spectral measurements and phenological camera.

Infrastructure

6 m tall mast.
