MA-Thesis in Sociology
About
In the course you will carry out a research project and author a thesis. You are able to freely choose your thesis topic in consultation with your assigned thesis supervisor. Individual supervision is provided in the form of regular meetings where your evolving project design and thesis manuscript are continually subject to qualified criticism and discussion. Several collective course meetings are also held to address more general issues relating to the carrying out of a thesis project. On completion of the course you will have learnt how to design and conduct an independent research investigation of a more basic or applied character. You will also have learnt how to not only author, but also orally defend a thesis aiming to contribute to the further advancement of a particular field of sociological investigation.
