Message from students organizing the event

In light of the tragic mass murders in Örebro, we want to hold a demonstration to remember the victims— the students and those who were working in the school who were deprived of their lives —as well as all those affected by this horrific event. We also aim to show support for racialized people, migrants in Sweden, international students, and those studying at Komvux across the country.

This act of violence is a threat to democracy, and many are experiencing fear. As gender studies students, we engage with issues of belonging, inclusion, and trust every day. This demonstration is our way of taking a stand against division and violence while advocating for a society built on love, solidarity, and inclusion.
