Ships and boats
Kristineberg offers a modern research vessel and several boats equipped for scientific work in coastal environments. Our vessel equipment enables physical, chemical, geological, and biological sampling during day trips in coastal waters.
R/V Alice

Our largest research vessel, R/V Alice, is 12 meters long with a maximum capacity of 12 people. Its navigation area is inshore waters. It is operated by our skippers who is well-versed in handling scientific equipment and familiar with local conditions. The vessel has access to a wide range of sampling equipment for both open water and sediment, including plankton nets, scrapers, CTD, rosette samplers, sediment sounders, and box corers.
Pioneer Boats
We have two Pioneer boats equipped with powerful 80 hp engines. These boats are particularly well-suited for diving missions or research tasks requiring a stable work platform. They have an open design without weather protection, which is compensated by a spacious, functional deck with excellent load capacity. The flexibility of the Pioneer boats makes them an excellent complement to our other vessel equipment for shorter, specialized research missions in coastal waters.
We also have field equipment that is used in shallow water and from land, as well as from small boats.
Small Boats
We also have several smaller boats for flexible use near the station. One of these boats is equipped with outboard motors for powered movement, while the others are traditional rowboats.
