24 projects boosted by SCCC funding
The Sahlgrenska Comprehensive Cancer Center’s research council has allocated research funding to back 24 pioneering projects.
This initiative aims to strengthen the competitiveness of cancer research at Sahlgrenska University Hospital and Sahlgrenska Academy within the strategic research plan framework.
The grants cover a spectrum of research, encompassing both fundamental (preclinical) and clinical investigations, including studies in caregiving sciences. These projects are poised to advance tumor diagnostics and treatment modalities, ultimately enhancing long-term survival rates and the quality of life for both pediatric and adult cancer patients.
With a budget of approximately SEK 5 million allocated for 2023, these funds are being channeled into diverse areas across these 24 distinct projects:
