NYSCO 2024 - Practical information

Accommodation
The accommodation package for all participants includes hotel rooms at Quality Hotel Waterfront from August 28th to August 30th. If you wish to arrive earlier or extend your stay, you will need to make your own booking directly with the hotel.
Transportation to Gothenburg
We will organize transportation to and from Gothenburg, offering options such as bus service to Nils Ericson Terminal, train service to Gothenburg Central Station, and flights to Landvetter Airport (GOT). Tickets will be booked by us in accordance with the travel policy for the University of Gothenburg.
When registering for NYSCO 2024, participants will specify their preferred arrival and departure times in Gothenburg. If participants wish to arrive earlier than August 28 or depart later than August 30, they may do so at their own expense for any ticket price differences. For flights arriving at Landvetter Airport (GOT), transportation on the airport bus to the city center will also be provided. However, any public transport tickets via Västtrafik must be covered by the participants themselves.
Workshop participants
The workshop can accommodate up to 50 participants, and registration will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Group I: To qualify as a participant in NYSCO 2024, individuals must primarily be active doctoral students at an odontological university in the Nordic or Baltic countries. Registration operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
Group II: If there are remaining spots available at NYSCO 2024, individuals who completed their dissertations in 2023 and 2024 will be given the opportunity to participate.
Certificate
Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the workshop and presentation of their research project.
Social Program
There will be a shared breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with coffee breaks, provided for all days of NYSCO 2024. If you have any allergies or dietary preferences, please report them during registration.
After the conference on August 29th, we will have a social activity: "Partypaddan," which is a unique experience. A renovated sightseeing boat with lounge seating featuring comfortable sofas and coffee tables will pick us up at the hotel and take us into the city. Once in the city, we will enjoy a guided tour via the boat. You are welcome to bring your own snacks and drink.
Registration is binding. If a participant fails to show up or cancels without appropriate justification, they may be invoiced a penalty equivalent to 7000 SEK.
