System dynamics Modelling of A Radiation Therapy process (SMART)

In this project we will be applying system dynamics modelling in a radiotherapy setting in order to suggest practical solutions to clinically relevant problems and issues in a whole systems perspective. The project includes mapping of current work practices ar Swedish radiotherapy units, where the results will be used in different simulation scenarios. A system dynamics model will be created to test and evaluate improvement proposals. Suggestions for changed work practices will undergo risk analysis by representatives of the professions to ensure that proposals are safe and possible to implement in reality. Finally introduced improvements will be evaluated before and after implementation.
