Presentation
Andreas Bågenholm är universitetslektor och forskare vid statsvetenskapliga institutionen. Han är programchef för the Quality of Government Institute (QoG-institutet), och var också tidigare projektledare för det EU-finansierade ANTICORRP-projektet samt redaktör för European Journal of Political Research Data Yearbook (tillsammans med Kevin Deegan-Krause och Liam Weeks).
Forskningsområden
Min forskning kretsar främst kring korruption, val och politiska partier och närmare bestämt hur korruption påverkar dels väljares röstbeteende och dels politiska partiers valresultat. I vilken utsträckning och under vilka omständigheter väljare bestraffar korrupta politiker, i vilken utsträckning korruptionsanklagade regeringar lyckas bibehålla makten samt hur partier som går till val på anti-korruption (sk Anti-korruptionspartier) lyckas i val jämfört med partier som inte gör det är fyra frågor som jag intresserar mig för. För närvarande arbetar jag i ett forskningsprojekt som undersöker visselblåsare i politiska partier. Ett annat forskningsområde behandlar graden och arten av korruption i Sverige på 1800-talet. Slutligen har jag också ett starkt intresse i den partipolitiska utvecklingen i Central- och Östeuropa och framförallt varför partisystemen aldrig ser ut att stabiliseras.
Nuvarande forskning
För närvarande jobbar jag i ett projekt, som undersöker visselblåsande inom politiska partier och inom kort kommer jag även att påbörja arbetet inom ett EU-finansierat projekt med frågor som har med svensk korruption att göra.
Undervisning
Jag undervisar huvudsakligen om komparativ politik, politiska system samt östeuropeisk historia och politik. Jag ansvarar för en 30-poängskurs på statsvetarprogrammets grundnivå (Institutioner och aktörer i demokratin).
