Marie arbetar sedan 2022 på Psykologiska Institutionen som universitetslektor i klinisk neuropsykologi.
Hon arbetade 2008-2020 på Minnesmottagningen, Sahlgrenska universitetssjukhuset, med neuropsykologisk utredning av minnesrelaterad sjukdom och forskning kring tidiga tecken på kognitiv sjukdom. Hon disputerade 2017 med avhandlingen "Subjective cognitive decline in memory clinic patients - characteristics and clinical relevance".
Marie forskar också inom områdena stressrelaterad kognitiv påverkan; kognitiv långtidspåverkan efter infektion i centrala nervsystemet; och utveckling av normdata för neuropsykologiska tester.
På Sahlgrenska universitetssjukhuset har hon även arbetat med uppdragsutbildningar inom neurosjukvården, och neuropsykologisk utredning vid postcovid-19.
