About Carina Cardemil
Carina Cardemil has a dental degree from Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm and completed her specialist training in oral and maxillofacial surgery in Gothenburg 2008. She is currently a PhD-student at the Department of Biomaterials at University of Gothenburg and holds a position as a consultant at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at Örebro University Hospital.
Research interests: •Bone remodelling and inflammation in patients with osteonecrotic jaw treated with bisphosphonates •Implant integration and biomaterials in osteoporotic conditions after administration of antiosteoporotic agents. •Differences in bone structure and cellular response to oestrogen deficiency at disparate bone sites.
