About Andjeas Ejiksson
Andjeas Ejiksson (1978) is an artist, filmmaker and translator based in Stockholm, Sweden. His artistic practice explores how ideologies and imaginaries are established through cultural and political transitions, and processes of translation. Ejiksson works in editorial and textual formats as well as with performance and moving image. He has been the editor of several cultural journals, researcher at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm, the Jan van Eyck Academy in Maastricht, and is now holding a research position at HDK-Valand, University of Gothenburg. Among other things, Ejiksson is currently involved in an exhibition project that revolves around the history of children’s television. The project gathers eleven artists and writers, exhibited at Fabrika in Moscow, Kalmar konstmuseum, Bildmuseet in Umeå, among other places.
