About Camille Parguel
I am a political scientist with a master’s degree in ‘Globalisation’ from the University of Lausanne (Switzerland). For my degree project, I focused on civil society discourse about agricultural liberalisation in India. My master’s thesis was centred on farmers’ representatives, advocates for the right to food and activists critical of free trade agreements.
After graduating, I worked for two years as a communication officer at Agroscope, the Swiss centre for agricultural research. I engaged in media relations and became passionate about popularising science through audio-visual and written content creation.
At present, I am a doctoral student in ‘Peace and development research’ affiliated to a project entitled ‘Litigating land rights in Sápmi: Indigenous legal mobilisation in Finland, Norway and Sweden’ and funded by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond. Alongside my doctoral studies, I am co-ordinating the Faculty of Social Sciences’ participation in the Swedish Forum for Human Rights.
