Research interests:
- Micro-scale modelling of radiation (shortwave and longwave) fluxes and mean radiant temperature
- Field measurements of radiation (shortwave and longwave) fluxes and mean radiant temperature
- Trees as a tool to mitigate excessive radiant load
- Geographical information systems
- Statistical downscaling of climate data
Current projects:
- The influence of warm weather and outdoor - environment design on preschoolers physical activities and thermal comfort
- UMEP - A fast responsive, modelling system for urban climatology and climate sensitive planning applications
- HEAT: Heat stress in outdoor Environments - Planning the city of the older Adults Today and in a future warmer climate
- Multifunctional blue-green infrastructure - optimizing socio-cultural and environmental aspects for sustainable urban development
