About Chloé Robert
My PhD aims at increasing our knowledge of the Scandinavian stocks of the flat oyster (Ostrea edulis). This native European species has great commercial value and is essential to the marine ecosystem thanks to its denitrification and filtration roles.
My doctoral project consists of studying the population structure of the Swedish populations by mapping variations in genetic diversity and investigating correlations between genetic variations and increased tolerance to environmental changes. Another part of my PhD consists of predicting the effects of environmental changes on Ostrea edulis performances by carrying out stress tolerance experiments and studying potential variations in their fertilization success through crossing experiments.
