Docent (Reader/Associate Professor) in Theory of Science and Pro Futura Scientia Fellow.
Prior to joining GU, I was a postdoc (2019-22) and doctoral student (2019) at the University of Cambridge. I also have an MPhil in History and Philosophy of Science (Cambridge), an MSc in Mathematics (Toronto), a Graduate Diploma in Economics (LSE), and an MA in Philosophy and Mathematics (Edinburgh).
My research concerns the role of social scientific knowledge in political and public debate. Within this domain I have written on the social epistemology of science (Alexandrova, Northcott and Wright 2021; Wright 2019, 2021, 2024, forthcoming), policy metrics and frameworks (Worsdale and Wright, 2021; Wright and Mata 2020), and objectivity (Worsdale and Wright, 2021; Wright, 2018).
