About Joachim Åhman
Joachim Åhman is professor of public international law in the Department of Law, University of Gothenburg. He received a LLB and a LLM from Lund University (2004), a BA in history from the University of Gothenburg (2008), a LLD in public international law from the University of Gothenburg (2011), and has been appointed docent in the School of Business, Economics and Law, University of Gothenburg (2017).
Professor Åhman's research focuses primarily on international economic law, international organisations, and the relationship between public international law and national constitutional law. He has been a visiting research fellow at Columbia Law School. He has published several books in the above mentioned fields, and articles in leading international journals, such as the Journal of World Trade, European Public Law, and the Journal of International Economic Law. He is the course coordinator for the advanced course HRS198 Public International Law, offered during the second half of the autumn semester.
