QUALIFICATIONS

Johan Bergenholtz received a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware in 1996. He went on to do postdoctoral work at the BASF company in Germany and as an NSF International Research Fellow at the Faculty of Physics at Universität Konstanz, as well as at the Department of Chemical Engineering at the California Institute of Technology. He joined the Department of Chemistry at the University of Gothenburg in 1999 as an Assistant Professor. In 2003 he was awarded a Research Fellowship with the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and he became an Associate Professor at the department in 2007. Since 2012 he is a Professor of Surface and Colloid Science. In 2013 he became a Guest Professor at the Departments of Physical Chemistry and Theoretical Chemistry at Lund University. He is also an Adjunct Scientist at AstraZeneca R&D, Mölndal. Johan Bergenholtz has been awarded the Allan P. Colburn Prize and the Akzo-Nobel Nordic Surface Chemistry Prize.
