About Kim von Der Heide
I am a PhD candidate in Environmental Social Science, working on urban climate justice, and justice in climate transitions in a transdisciplinary project with the City of Gothenburg.
More broadly, I am interested in the diverse field of political ecology, post-/decolonial approaches, environmental justice, and sustainability transformations. Previously, I have empirically studied socio-environmental phenomena in Brazil, e.g. in my Master's thesis "Media Framing and Environmental (In)Justice: Construction of the 2019 Brazilian Amazon fires in national and international news". Furthermore, I have worked on inequity in access to urban green spaces, and just resilience / adaptation at the European Environment Agency.
