Background
B.A., Columbia University (2000), PhD in Government, Harvard University (2007), PhD in English, University of Warwick (2010). Prior to joining the University of Gothenburg as an Associate Professor in 2015, Marius Hentea taught at Université Paris-V (Descartes), Ghent University, and Manchester Metropolitan University. He was promoted to Professor of English Literature at the University of Gothenburg in 2017.
Research
Marius Hentea's main areas of research are modernism and the avant-garde. He is the author of Henry Green at the Limits of Modernism (Sussex Academic Press, 2014) and TaTa Dada: The Real Life and Celestial Adventures of Tristan Tzara (MIT Press, 2014), which has been translated into German and Romanian. His essays have appeared in MLQ, Modernism/Modernity, Modernist Cultures, Narrative, and PMLA.

Teaching
At Gothenburg Prof. Hentea has taught on EN1110 (‘A’ level), a course on spy fiction ('C' level), and the M.A. course in Modernism. He also supervises undergraduate and doctoral theses.
