Background
Matilde is a registered nurse specializing in psychiatry with a master's degree from University West. She has several years of experience working clinically in psychiatry but also palliative care. In addition, she has worked as a section leader and unit manager in psychiatric outpatient care.
Current role
Matilde is a doctoral student and is part of a research project called Healthcare-Related Health Outcomes with a Focus on Diabetes and Health Promotion Among Individuals with Psychosis. The project investigates diabetes-related health outcomes with a particular focus on the challenges of integrating physical and mental health care. By combining quantitative and qualitative methods, the project aims to improve care for people with schizophrenia and diabetes and contribute to more effective interventions and policies.
In addition, Matilde teaches at the nursing program mainly in scientific method and leadership.
