About Mikael Kjellgren

The everyday life of the professional pianist can be a mix of different kinds of collaboration. You may be in a preparation phase for a solo recital or a chamber music project, you may be involved in stage rehearsals for an opera production, you may be in the middle of a symphony orchestra production as a fellow musician, or you are devoting your time to coach singers or instrumentalists working on their repertoire. This need for pianistic versatility has been a constant inspiration and challenge to me in my profession, and it is my wish to bring on the knowledge I have acquired over the years to students who choose to come to the Academy for Music and Drama for their education.
