p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 12.0px 0.0px; line-height: 16.0px; font: 12.0px Geneva} span.s1 {font-kerning: none} ROLF SKOG was for five years secretary to the Committee on Stock Ownership and Efficiency, Ministry of Industry, Sweden, and for ten years secretary to the Company Law Committee, Ministry of Justice, Sweden. He was also secretary to the Takover law Committee. Today he serves as an expert to the Minstry of Justice in the field of company law, corporate governance and takeover-regulation. He was for many years the Swedish Government´s expert and negotiator on the EU Takeover-directive, and chaired the EU negotiations on the Statute for a European Private Company during the Swedish EU Precidency in 2009. He is also, since twenty years, the Swedish Government´s representative to the OECD Corporate Governance Committee.
Rolf Skog is Director General of the Swedish Securities Council ("The Takeover Panel"). Twentyfive years ago he co-founded the Swedish Corporate Governance Forum to which he is still managing director. In 2004 he was appointed to the European Corporate Governance Forum by the European Commission. Today he is also a memberof the European Company Law Expert Group (ECLE).
He is also founder and co-editor of Nordisk Tidsskrift for Selskabsret (The Nordic Journal for Company Law) and has published extensively in the field of company law, corporate governance and take overs.
From 2000 - 2009 Rolf Skog was Honorary Professor of Company Law, at Aarhus School of Economics, Denmark and was visiting professor at Columbia Law School, New York in the Fall Semester 2006. In September 2010 he was appointed Honorary Professor of Company and Stock Exchange Law at the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg.
